Thank you for considering Cal State San Marcos and Cougars Lacrosse. As you know, choosing where to attend college is one of the most important decisions of your life, and we hope that you consider your options carefully before making a decision. Located in the foothills of San Marcos, California (northern San Diego County), just a short distance from some of Southern California’s best beaches and an hour from the U.S.-Mexico border. Only miles from the hustle and bustle of major cities such as San Diego and Los Angeles, but nestled in a quiet, suburban neighborhood (population 55,000). While our campus is expansive (we’re talking 304 acres), it’s tucked into the foothills overlooking the city, creating a tight-knit community right here on campus.
As a lacrosse program we are young, but our players and staff are motivated to establish our team as a powerhouse in the SLC and a force on the national level. With the hotbed of youth & high school lacrosse in San Diego, our location provides us with a unique opportunity to bring in talented student-athletes from some of the best high school programs in the nation. As a member of Cougars Lacrosse, you will have the opportunity to be a part of something special.
